Abstract | Samuel N. "Sam" or "Speed" Haddad was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in 1904 to Lebanese American parents Nimer and Tamame Haddad. He married Violetta M. Storey in 1924 and they had four children. Haddad was involved in the retail cleaning business from roughly 1928-1961 when he sold his interests in his store locations and went into the restaurant business, opening the Third Street Coney Island at 107 South Third Street. He retired from business in 1977 and died in La Crosse in 1982. |
Abstract | Violetta M. (Storey) Haddad was born in North Port, Wisconsin, in 1904 to parents Harry and Amelia (Bougard) Storey. Together with her husband, Samuel N. Haddad, she worked in the ownership and management of Haddad's Cleaners and then with the Third Street Coney Island restaurant. She died in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in 1993.. |
